Student Resource Centers
Community Campus Coalition (Triple C) launched the Student Resource Centers (SRC) initiative in 2019 as a way to support colleges and universities to better support students who are struggling with nonacademic needs. A Student Resource Center is a place on campus where students can go to get connected to resources to help eliminate barriers they may be facing and that is impacting their ability to succeed academically, stay enrolled from one semester to the next, and ultimately earn a degree or credential. AmeriCorps members are placed on college and university campuses to create a new, enhance an existing SRC, and to directly serve students on campus.
SRC exists with support from ServeOhio and AmeriCorps.
Communities Thriving
Through the IKONC partnership, the Communities Thriving initiative, a multi-state AmeriCorps VISTA program, was launched to focus on addressing community issues while strengthening campus-community partnerships. AmeriCorps VISTA members are placed on a campus and/or with a community partner to spend a year of service supporting communities and campuses to help address and eliminate issues that local communities are facing.
Communities Thriving exists with support from AmeriCorps.
