Webinar – LIBRARIES WORKING TO ADVANCE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

December 5, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

To support academia’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and engaged scholarship, academic libraries are building networks between partners internal and external to the campus community. Librarians are relationship builders for their campuses and recognize the value of building essential, foundational community partnerships. Academic libraries support community engagement by:
* facilitating community engaged research activities and scholarship,
* providing physical and online spaces to showcase and increase access to campus and community scholars, and
* supporting service learning and community engagement through in-class instruction for student projects
To find out more about how libraries are engaged in this work, please join us for an interactive discussion with two community engaged academic librarians:
– Sarah Goodwin Thiel, Community Engagement Librarian, University of Kansas
– Anne Marie Gruber, Instruction & Liaison Librarian, University of Northern Iowa
